Originally from Costa Rica, Marcela has over 20 years of experience teaching violin and viola to students from all ages in over four different countries: United States, The Netherlands, Mexico and Costa Rica. She studied violin for 10 years and then specialized in viola performance.
Teaching background:
Undergraduate degree in Viola Performance from University of Costa Rica, Postgraduate degree in Chamber Music and viola from Conservatory of Las Rosas in Mexico under Master Gela Dubrova, and a Master's degree from Hogeschool Zuyd Conservatorium in The Netherlands under virtuoso legend Michael Kugel.
Marcela speaks English and Spanish. She is currently located in Dallas, Texas. Many of her students are now music teachers, performers and music enthusiasts.
Lessons can be arranged through Zoom, Google Duo or other platforms.
